The Festival's internship/apprenticeship program offers qualified individuals an opportunity to work side-by-side with the Festival's professional staff. Interns/apprentices will receive on-the-job training in technical production, videography, arts administration and dance education, while gaining valuable contacts and in-depth knowledge of contemporary dance. Housing, meals and complimentary tickets to performances are provided. Dance education, administration, video interns and stagecraft apprentices may register for up to two classes a day. Technical Production interns receive a $300 stipend (upon submission of receipts) to assist with travel.

It's WACSmash! Time!!!
WACsmash! is an annual performing arts production presenting choreographic and artistic projects created by undergraduate students in the Department of World Arts and Cultures (WAC). These presentations provide undergraduate students the opportunity to gain professional experience in arts production as producers, allow emerging artists the experience of creating works of creative intrigue and cultural exploration through various artistic mediums, and offer the UCLA community a free-of-charge intercultural and educational experience adding to the overall diversity of the University.

There will be 4 presentations of the production: February 4 (8pm), February 5 (3pm/8pm), and February 6th (3pm).

WACsmash! is presented by the World Arts and Cultures Undergraduate Society and supported by the Department of World Arts and Cultures.

Funded by the Campus Programs Committee of the Program Activities Board.

Free Event. First come, first served. Box office opens 1 hour before the show. Parking is available in UCLA Lot 4. Enter campus from Sunset Blvd, at Westwood Plaza.

WEEK 10 EVENTS


Wednesday, Dec. 1: 48 Hours to Action

The UCLA Sex Squad is a group of student performers who've brought together all of their talents (singing, dancing, acting, beatboxing, and more) to create a show to honor World AIDS Day. And they did it in just 48 Hours!

The group will debut their work at 48 Hours to Action at 6 pm on Dec. 1st in the Glorya Kaufman Dance Theater at UCLA. They are talented, funny, energetic, ridiculous, and moving performers that have created something that does the unimaginable, it makes us laugh right in the face of our fear.
